Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Taxminator, a product of Wet Ocean. By using Taxminator you agree to these terms.
1. Educational use only
Taxminator provides educational information and directional estimates only. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal, tax, immigration, accounting, or financial advice. You must consult qualified professionals — including a licensed CPA, tax attorney, and immigration lawyer — before making any relocation, tax, or financial decisions. Taxminator is not responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided by the platform or its AI assistant.
2. AI-generated content
The AI Planner generates responses based on publicly available information. It may contain errors, outdated information, or information that is not applicable to your specific jurisdiction or circumstances. Tax laws change frequently. Always verify AI-generated information with a qualified professional and official government sources.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Taxminator to: (a) provide tax or legal advice to third parties for compensation without the appropriate professional licences; (b) scrape or mass-download our data; (c) attempt to circumvent the subscription tier limits by creating multiple accounts; or (d) use the service for any unlawful purpose.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Pro and Business plans are billed monthly or annually depending on your selection. You may cancel at any time; you retain access until the end of your billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
5. Intellectual property
All content, data, and software comprising Taxminator is owned by Wet Ocean or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Your chat conversations and comparison data remain yours — we do not claim ownership over content you create.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wet Ocean's liability for any claim arising from your use of Taxminator is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
